Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
• Member or eligibility for membership in ASET
• 3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including Water Distribution, Wastewater, Stormwater, Site Grading, Transportation and Structures
• Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods
• Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Proficiency with Civil3D software

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents under supervision
• Develop and review civil engineering design drawings coordinating with the Design Team
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines

Responsibilities

• Perform general project duties including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist
• Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team
• Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required
• Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
