AtkinsRéalis currently has an opportunity for a Graduate Civil/ Structural EIT to join our Winnipeg office. The position offers the ability to work on projects across Canada and around the world, all while being supported locally as part of a multidiscipline team of broadly experienced engineers, technologists, and technical design staff. The position offers interesting and challenging work with an opportunity for the selected candidate to progress within the company.

This role will be based in Winnipeg, MB.

Your role within the team:

  • Work with engineering and design staff in the preparation of structural building models and final drawings, including development of competency in REVIT, BIM drawing software, and analysis/design software including ETABS and S-Frame.

  • Analysis and design of building systems for new and existing structures.

  • Document supporting data, assumptions, and all engineering calculations necessary to support designs.

  • Undertake site data gathering, progress monitoring, and construction inspection activities when required.

  • Comply with corporate QA procedures and documentation requirements.

The ideal candidate:

  • Civil Engineering graduate with a university degree.

  • Eligible or registered as an EIT with EGM (Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba) in the Province of Manitoba.

  • Undergraduate course work related to the analysis and design of steel, concrete structures, and foundations.

  • Computer literate and familiar with both structural analysis and design software.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently with peers as needed to progress project work, while maintaining independence in the completion of assigned tasks.
