Our Company

Soudures St-Denis, established in the Eastern Townships region since 1976, also known as SSD Structures, specializes in the fabrication and installation of steel structures for the industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential sectors.

The Challenge

Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with deadlines, quality, and budget. You will monitor tenders, conduct follow-ups with clients, employees, and subcontractors, and participate in drafting specifications, researching suppliers, and conducting preliminary studies. You will ensure acceptance of systems and compare results with forecasts at project completion.

Your Daily Life

• Monitor projects during the bidding process;
• Visit project sites as needed;
• Prepare and analyze structural plans and specifications;
• Estimate costs and timelines;
• Prepare and review bids with the Director of Operations;
• Follow up on submitted bids;
• Conclude agreements with clients and suppliers;
• Ensure projects are delivered on budget and schedule, meeting company and client expectations;
• Participate in operational planning and logistics;
• Negotiate prices for best value;
• Establish project schedules respecting budgets;
• Ensure compliance with budgets, quality, deadlines, and safety regulations;
• Manage and coordinate projects with departments and subcontractors as needed.

Required Skills

• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
• Training in civil engineering, specializing in structures or related fields;
• Experience in project management;
• Proficiency with project management tools and planning software;
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects respecting deadlines and budgets;
• Organizational skills and rigor;
• Analytical skills for estimating costs and timelines;
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
