Base pay range

CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$130,000.00/yr

Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineer- Building & Infrastructure to join their team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the first of three large industrial manufacturing plants being built in Alliston, ON! In this groundbreaking project, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of site civil, structural, and architectural works. You will directly contribute to our client's commitment to environmental responsibility and technological advancement!

What's the job?

1. Provide/review design direction for structural steel, concrete mezzanine, slab on grade and foundations of industrial buildings
2. Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders
3. Managing project schedules, and providing updates to senior management
4. Reviewing and approving design drawings
5. Creating concept designs, and developing specifications for equipment and buildings
6. Conduct field checks, ensuring quality construction, and coordinating across multiple disciplines
7. Manage project deliverables, providing on-site support, and offering design guidance in architectural, structural, and civil aspects of industrial buildings

What's Needed?

1. University Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
2. PEng or EIT
3. Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Industrial building design
4. Demonstrated involvement in large-scale project management
5. Solid understanding of Building codes and technical specs
6. Experience with building Architectural design and reviews
7. Experience with Site Civil design for roads, stormwater management and underground utilities.
8. Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT or similar software: Demonstrate ability to create new concepts and modify existing designs
9. Spec writing and development
10. Experience in supervising and managing project teams
11. Experience in managing and developing diverse teams
12. New technology relating to Carbon Neutral Initiatives (preferred)
13. Experience with Green Building Standards for Industrial Buildings (preferred)
14. Willing and able to travel internationally and to the US
