Who We’re Looking For

Technical Operations in Ontario is expanding our team by hiring a Civil Specialist in Northern Ontario, covering the vast area from Cochrane to the Muskokas and Sault Ste. Marie to Mattawa. This individual will coordinate the maintenance of our regional infrastructure and support third-party contractors as they complete the work.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the maintenance of the civil portion of our wireless infrastructure, including roads, compounds, shelters, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and landscaping.
  • Coordinate the relocation of equipment or antennas with landlords.
  • Collaborate with procurement on service requests for proposals and source job-specific quotes from our third-party contractors.
  • Open and close purchase orders, process invoices for payment, and participate in budget planning.
  • Provide on-site mentoring, monitoring, and training to third-party contractors.
  • Conduct quality inspections, both on-site and remotely, to ensure work is complete and meets Rogers' standards.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to emergencies, both on-site and remotely.
  • Assist with projects as needed.

What You Bring

  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing.
  • Effective communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organization and interpersonal skills required.
  • Technically proficient with the desire to learn.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Related post-secondary education, such as a civil engineering technologist/technician or related on-the-job experience.
  • Experience in project planning and management would be an asset.
