The Bloor-Yonge Capacity Improvements Project is a significant undertaking by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to expand and modernize Bloor-Yonge station – Canada’s busiest subway hub. This initiative is focused on meeting both current and future ridership needs by improving the station’s efficiency, capacity, and accessibility.

The Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV) is committed to transforming the station to enable faster, more reliable, and more comfortable travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The project will deliver upgraded facilities, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and higher-capacity subway system for passengers.

Civil Site Supervisor

The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for supporting the validation of existing site conditions and gathering field data to inform design development, risk mitigation strategies, and early construction planning.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following :

Supervise and coordinate field investigations, including geotechnical drilling, utility locates, topographic surveys, hazardous material assessments, and structural condition surveys.

Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and permitting agencies to plan and execute field activities in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.

Ensure field activities align with project schedules, environmental constraints, and safety protocols.

Support the integration of investigation findings into design development and risk assessments.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date field records, logs, and documentation for use by technical and design teams.

Identify potential conflicts, obstructions, or unforeseen conditions and communicate these proactively to design and project leadership.

Coordinate site access requirements, including third-party and stakeholder notifications.

Ensure proper quality control and assurance measures are in place for all DD&I fieldwork.

Education and Experience :

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

5+ years of experience in field supervision, preferably in infrastructure, rail / transit, or heavy civil construction.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and field crews across diverse scopes.

Familiarity with health & safety legislation.
