Civil Project Engineer

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a leading Civil Engineer client in Peterborough. This Project Engineer will support the Land Development (Civil) Engineering Department.

Your opportunity as a Senior Project Engineer is to join our client's site servicing and stormwater management teams where you will play a key role in delivering crucial residential, commercial and institutional projects to their community. You will leverage your technical expertise to guide complex land development projects from concept to completion, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of experts to ensure successful outcomes for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead/manage the servicing and grading design for land development projects ranging from small scale site plans to multi-phase subdivisions.
• Serve as primary contact for key land development clients.
• Coordinate with internal and external technical disciplines to design and deliver comprehensive land development documents for agency review and approval.
• Manage project resources, budgets and deliverables.
• Prepare and/or coordinate proposals for multidisciplinary land development projects.
• Provide Technical Peer Review services to neighboring municipalities.
• Prepare development agreements and approvals, construction specifications and tender document.
• Providing guidance to project engineers and project designers in maintaining quality of work.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng. with PEO).
• Minimum 7 years of Civil/Municipal/Land Development Engineering experience.
• Strong competency in the land development approvals process in Ontario.
• Experience applying municipal design standards in southern Ontario, TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, MECP Environmental Compliance Approvals and Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Additional qualifications that are considered an asset:

• Experience as Expert Witness for Ontario Land Tribunal Hearings.
• Experience in stormwater management design.
