The Geotechnical Engineering team is responsible for the design and quality assurance of pit walls, stockpiles, out of pit and in pit waste dumps, and fluid-retaining structures. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team working with engineers to design and construct tailings dams, waste dumps and pit walls. The positions offered in geotechnical engineering are a blend of office and field work.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Geotechnical, Geological, Geomatics or Civil or Structural Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution
- You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Attach your most recent transcripts with your application
- For some roles, you may need to possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Location and other Key Details:
- This is a/an 4, 8, 12, or 16-month term commitment beginning in September 2025. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application
- Potential locations for these student roles include Calgary, St. John's, and Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo). You will be asked to indicate your location preferences in your application
- Relocation support will be provided if required
