Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and review detailed Civil3D models for land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation projects.
2. Create and oversee erosion and sediment control plans, grading, servicing, stormwater management, and site plan drawings.
3. Prepare plan, profile, section, and earthworks drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
4. Lead the coordination of designs and drawings with internal team members and external consultants.
5. Represent the company in client and stakeholder meetings, fostering strong relationships and identifying business development opportunities.
6. Ensure projects meet approval authority guidelines, by-laws, and codes.
7. Mentor and train junior technologists and EITs on best practices in civil design and drafting.
8. Proactively improve design and modeling techniques to enhance team efficiency.
9. Conduct occasional site visits to collect field data, review contractor progress, and document findings in standardized reports.
10. Support construction reviews to ensure compliance with design specifications.
11. Prepare engineering reports and support technical documentation.
12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of company processes and standards.
13. Other duties as assigned by Civil Division Manager/Team Lead.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent.
2. Eligible for or holding a C.Tech., C.E.T. designation through OACETT or L.E.T. designation PEO are preferred.
3. 12+ years of experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, and/or transportation engineering.
4. Strong knowledge of approval processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
5. Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil3D and MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
6. Ability to coach and mentor junior technicians/technologists.
7. Exceptional drafting skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
8. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
9. High level of organization and time management.
10. Commitment to professional development and a collaborative team environment.
11. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
