Your role at GEI.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Preparation of plan, profile and detail drawings for land development and municipal infrastructure projects including site plans, subdivisions, road reconstructions, water/wastewater facilities.
  2. Field work including construction site inspection, topographic site surveys, and construction layout.
  3. Completing design calculations for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, and stormwater management facilities.
  4. Preliminary and detailed design of grading, drainage, and servicing plans for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
  5. Development of construction cost estimates, tender documents, specifications, and contract documents.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education in a civil engineering technology program or equivalent experience.
  2. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office.
  3. Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Physical and environmental requirements are available upon request.

Considered Assets

  1. Knowledge of stormwater management practices and low impact development strategies.
  2. Knowledge of Revit software.
  3. Past construction experience.
  4. Previous design-related experience.
  5. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consulting environment.
