Civil Engineering Assistant – Coop Student (Transportation Major Projects)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Assistant to join our Transportation Major Projects Division in Burnaby, BC, for a 4-month work term from September to December 2025, with potential extension based on workload and availability. The role involves supporting design, procurement, and delivery of major infrastructure projects such as the Fraser River Tunnel, Highway 91/17 Improvements, and others.

Key Responsibilities

• Modify design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Assist with field assignments and perform design calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project submission and file management processes.
• Participate in quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering (preferably 3rd year or equivalent).
• Understanding of transportation engineering principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Valid driver’s license (asset) and willingness to work outdoors.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
