Job description

  • Adecco is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer, Stormwater Management to join a leading engineering consultancy based in Burlington or Toronto . This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced and technically strong engineer to deliver impactful projects, blending technical excellence with collaborative teamwork.

Salary : $90,000-$125,000 + bonus + benefits + vacation + stocks + RSP + other perks

  • Location : Burlington or Toronto (hybrid flexibility)
  • Schedule : Monday to Friday

  • Responsibilities

Design and analyze storm and sanitary systems, water distribution networks, and stormwater management models for diverse projects

  • Perform design calculations to meet regulatory standards and convey detailed requirements to CAD staff for drafting
  • Prepare clear and thorough technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, architects, review agencies, and other external partners to ensure seamless project execution
  • Execute tasks under the guidance of senior engineers while progressively taking on more independent technical responsibilities
  • Support project delivery through technical expertise, problem-solving, and effective communication
  • Contribute to a range of technical assignments and support the development of innovative solutions
  • Requirements

Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in civil / stormwater engineering
  • Expertise in stormwater, sanitary, and water distribution design principles
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software, with relevant project experience
  • Strong skills in Civil design software and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent technical report writing, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
