Due to growth in our Engineering Design Organization, we seek a Civil Engineer - Conveyance based in any of our GTA offices. This role is key to developing and expanding GHD's Civil practice.

Working with a high-performing team, this role involves:

• Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques with sound judgment.
• Design delivery for multi-discipline, complex civil and facility projects.
• Collaborating with Business Leads, Managers, and Project Directors on civil design for linear infrastructure.
• Managing civil design aspects, including responsibility for design.
• Developing or verifying project scope.
• Completing designs within budget and schedule.
• Participating in design meetings and resolving critical issues.
• Facilitating decision-making with engineering teams.
• Ensuring client specifications and standards are incorporated.
• Maintaining quality control processes.
• Mentoring junior staff.
• Representing GHD at client meetings.
• Being a self-starter, flexible, team-oriented, and capable of handling diverse civil design tasks.
• Holding a Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with PEO.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized university.
• P.Eng Certification with PEO (mandatory).
• At least 5 years of extensive technical design experience (watermains, sewers, drainage).
• Experience with road, site servicing, and grading design is advantageous.
• Proven experience in civil design for large, multi-discipline projects focusing on linear infrastructure.
• Experience in a Design-Build environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of local codes and standards is essential.
• Experience in an integrated 3D environment.
• Strong team-building and mentoring skills.
