Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is recruiting a Civil 3D Design Specialist to join the Cable Containment Design Team for the Ontario LRT project. The role focuses on developing Civil 3D models, producing coordinated drawings and profiles, and coordinating with BIM and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering-related degree, at least 7 years in civil modelling, and advanced Civil 3D proficiency including surfaces, grading, and pipe networks.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology.
• Minimum 7 years of civil modelling and design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, grading, corridors, pipe networks, profiles, and quantities.
• Experience with land development, site servicing, drainage, utilities and roadways.
• BIM coordination, Ontario drafting standards, and quality-control processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Civil 3D models for grading, drainage, utilities, earthworks, roadways, parking areas and site servicing.
• Produce coordinated drawings, profiles, sections, details and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate civil model with BIM Coordinator and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform clash detection, constructability checks and model quality reviews.
• Manage model standards, data references, file structures and drawing consistency.
• Support utility coordination and provide technical guidance to junior modelers and CAD technicians.
• Stay updated with latest communication technologies and best practices.
• Promote process improvements and innovation within the team.

Context

Missions/Main Duties

Profile/Skills
