Job summary

Binnie is seeking a Civil Design EIT to join our Development Squamish Division, in the Sea to Sky region. The role involves design work from concept through construction on municipal infrastructure, large multi-family housing, and major commercial projects.

You will use AutoCAD or Civil3D, collaborate with engineers, prepare reports and fee estimates, and ensure QA/QC per our policies. A Civil Engineering degree and EGBC EIT registration are required, with at least two years of related

Qualifications

Completed Degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an EIT with EGBC.
Minimum of 2 years of related professional work experience.
Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD or Civil3D.
Strong written communication and technical report writing.
Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractors.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD or Civil3D.
Perform design work in consultation with the Engineer of Record.
Prepare reports, manuals, and technical memorandums.
Prepare proposals and engineering fee estimates.
Ensure quality control procedures are completed as per Binnie’s Organizational Quality Management (OQM) Policy
Ensure that project designs and calculations adhere to legal standard
Completing site inspection as needed
