Job DescriptionThe General Foreman assists the Superintendent in managing all field and site-specific construction activities, including budget, schedule, performance, subtrades, and project profitability. Effective communication with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and field staff is essential. The role involves providing direction and leading Chandos staff in the field.
- Assist the Superintendent in providing leadership and direction for project activities, ensuring successful delivery and compliance with contracts and client needs
- Assist in identifying and generating requests for information
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing site manpower and materials, including site setup
- Assist with documentation such as daily logs, safety documents, timesheets, invoices, and site photos
- Monitor productivity to identify opportunities and mitigate losses
- Manage subcontractor relationships to maintain timelines and scope of work
- Maximize landfill waste diversion and manage construction sites sustainably, minimizing environmental impact
Qualifications- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Willing to work out of town
- Civil experience required
