Job Description:

Civil 3D BIM Modeler (Dry Utilities Services)

Location: Qatar, Doha

Parsons is looking for a talented BIM Modeler (Dry Utilities Services) to join our team! In this role, you will support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.

What you'll be doing:

1. Develop 3D/2D models for drawing preparation, clash reporting, and presentation, aligned with project LOD requirements and modeling standards for Dry Utilities networks (Electrical, Street Lighting, Landscape Lighting, Telecom).
2. Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and QS.
3. Coordinate all Model interfaces with designers and engineers from other disciplines.
4. Ensure all Models, drawings, and deliverables comply with project and company quality standards and BIM requirements.
5. Prepare engineering drawings from the model, including arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections.
6. Develop and extract 2D geometry from models for reviews and coordination meetings.
7. Deliver Project Information Models (PIMs) according to the agreed protocols.
8. Prepare BIM package submissions per project standards.
9. Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
10. Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
11. Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of Civil 3D experience, proficient in current Civil 3D versions, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with Dry Utilities services, including electrical networks, street lighting, landscape lighting, and Telecom networks.
• Ability to set up new Civil 3D project files, solve problems, and multitask.
• Expertise in creating Civil 3D Families and maintaining standards and libraries.
• Advanced Civil 3D skills, including federated modeling, Civil 3D Links, Worksets, and shared coordinates.
• Proficiency in BIM platforms such as Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
• Understanding of BIM model requirements like LOD, naming conventions, and parametric modeling.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Dynamo.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships under pressure.
• Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
