Job description

Alteo is looking for a Cisco VoIP Specialist for a permanent position based in Montreal.

You will be responsible for monitoring and executing tasks to ensure the continuity of network services. This includes change planning and configuring alerts. You will also meet with clients, analyze their needs, apply your specific expertise, contribute to the development of implementation plans, and monitor the execution of tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborates on information technology architecture and development projects.
  • Participates in and organizes project meetings as needed.
  • Plans and coordinates the work of a team of IT analysts and technicians to carry out project mandates.
  • Plays a leading role in planning production operations.
  • Ensures the efficient execution of required operational tasks.
  • Develops and documents quality and performance indicators, as well as processes for measuring performance indicators.
Expertise and Technology Projects
  • Provides consulting services to clients (managers, project managers, physicians, users, etc.).
  • Meets with clients, analyzes their needs, and advises them on available technological solutions and associated costs, as needed.
  • Plans the implementation of selected solutions, including the appropriate service requests.
Planning and Development
  • Identifies projected needs to maintain the development capacity of the network and services.
  • Monitors technological developments to improve existing services and implement new features and services.
  • Ensures quality control during the planning of new integrations for production deployment or when making changes to existing integrations.
  • Participates in technological projects in collaboration with technicians and other stakeholders.
PROFILE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role within a large-scale environment.
  • Relevant technical certifications in networking and/or cybersecurity:
    • Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent vendor certification.
    • Aruba certification (ACDA, ACCA, ACSP) or equivalent.
    • “Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewall” (SSNGFW) certification.
  • Very good knowledge of networking concepts: IP subnets, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP aggregation, NAT, VLANs, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP), MPLS, QoS, RADIUS
  • Equipment and Infrastructure
    • Experience with Cisco equipment: ASR routers, Catalyst switches, Aruba wireless controllers
    • Experience with Cisco 4100 next-generation firewalls.
    • Knowledge of Aruba enterprise wireless solutions.
    • Knowledge of Cisco ACI technology and data center network architecture.
    • Experience in designing, installing, integrating, and supporting complex network environments.
  • Monitoring
    • Experience with network monitoring tools: PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, or equivalent
    • Knowledge of protocols and tools: SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow / Flow
    • Monitoring of availability, performance, latency, packet loss, and interface utilization.
  • Analysis and Troubleshooting
    • Collection, centralization, and analysis of logs.
    • Event search and correlation.
    • Identification of anomalies and trends.
    • Ability to distinguish a network incident from an application or server issue.
    • Ability to analyze alerts and perform Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of Wireshark for analyzing network captures.
  • Security
    • Understanding of network security mechanisms: firewalls, IPS/IDS, authentication, network segmentation, and other security controls
    • Knowledge of a SIEM platform such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or equivalent (a plus).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Architecture

Expertise et projets technologiques
  • Procure des services d’expert-conseil à la clientèle (gestionnaires, chargés de projets, médecins, usagers, etc.).
  • Rencontre les clients, analyse leurs besoins et les conseille relativement aux solutions technologiques disponibles et aux coûts associés, lorsque requis.
  • Planifie la mise en œuvre des solutions retenues, incluant les requêtes de service appropriées.
Planification et développement
  • Identifie les besoins prévisionnels afin de maintenir la capacité de développement du réseau et des services.
  • Assure une vigie technologique visant à améliorer les services existants et à mettre en place de nouvelles fonctionnalités et de nouveaux services.
  • S’assure du contrôle de qualité lors de la planification des mises en production de nouvelles intégrations ou lors de modifications à des intégrations existantes.
  • Participe, en collaboration avec les techniciennes, techniciens et autres intervenantes et intervenants, aux travaux technologiques.
PROFIL:
  • BAC en TI ou l'équivalent
  • 3-5+ années d’expérience dans un rôle similaire au sein d’un environnement de grande envergure.
  • Certifications techniques pertinentes en réseautique et/ou cybersécurité :
    • Certification Cisco CCNP ou certification équivalente du manufacturier.
    • Certification Aruba (ACDA, ACCA, ACSP) ou équivalent.
    • Certification Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewall (SSNGFW).
  • Environnements réseautiques Cisco
