Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Sous Chef at Cirque Restaurant, Lizard Creek Lodge, Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Head Chef or manager on duty, the ideal candidate will have previous experience, a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You Will
  • Ensure a safe, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere for guests and staff
  • Assist guests at every opportunity
  • Plan and direct food preparation according to resort F&B specifications
  • Follow kitchen systems & principles
  • Promote a safe, sanitized work environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food storage management
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly, managing challenges quickly and efficiently
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and lead kitchen staff during working hours
  • Be flexible, versatile, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure the highest level of service and guest experience
  • Provide continuous teamwork with teammates and managers
  • Adhere to RCR Policy, Employee Handbook, and Safety Management Program
You Have
  • Previous Sous Chef experience (required)
  • Cook training certification (asset)
  • Food safe certification (asset, may be obtained upon hire)
  • A positive attitude
