DIRECTOR OF CIRCUIT SIMULATION

JOB SUMMARY

This role is for an innovative, self-motivated team leader to manage product strategy, development, and R&D for the multiple circuit simulation products in the Silvaco SmartSpice line. The candidate will provide technical and results-driven product leadership, leading a geographically distributed team of engineers and managers. Responsibilities include developing product strategies, working with cross-functional teams, and establishing engineering best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

1. Manage the R&D team and roadmap for the SmartSpice product line within the EDA business unit.
2. Lead and mentor a distributed team of engineers and managers, fostering team development.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to define product strategies and communicate progress.
4. Ensure timely delivery of software releases aligned with the product roadmap.
5. Support customer activities, including pre- and post-sales support and opportunity qualification.
6. Convey complex technical concepts clearly to customers and peers in English.

Qualifications and Required Experience

• MS or PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field with 6+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of VLSI circuit simulation, electrical analysis techniques, and solid-state physics for modeling.
• Experience in project management, resource allocation, and tracking.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for cross-functional team management.
• Familiarity with EDA environments and scripting skills.
• Proven ability to manage the software development lifecycle and deliver projects on time.
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience with remote and international team building is preferred.
