DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CIPP Sewer Lining Foreman to join our team in performing trenchless sewer and storm line rehabilitation and repair. The Crew Foreman is responsible for supervising job site activities, training and mentoring crew members, reading blueprints to plan procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. This role involves managing equipment repairs, maintaining job site safety, and assisting with manual labor as needed to deliver high-quality results. Flexibility to adapt to project needs and collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Manager is essential. The ability to travel to project sites, sometimes for extended periods, as required is essential for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of all members of the crew in collaboration with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Train, mentor, and coach crew members to provide direction and support to ensure jobs are completed safely, within budget, and on time.
  • Read and interpret specifications, such as blueprints, to determine job site requirements and to plan procedures.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations for the job, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Order any needed supplies, including PPE. Ensure PPE is on all job sites and being used appropriately for the duration of the job.
  • Schedule and arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery through the Shop Manager. Assist with repairs of equipment or machinery if possible.
  • Continually assess job sites including communicating any hazards, job site problems, or other issues to the respective party including the Superintendent, Safety Manager and stakeholders.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, environmental, or other regulations.
  • Assist construction crew on job site with manual labor as needed to ensure job is completed on time with a quality finished product.
  • Work in outdoor field conditions in all ranges of weather and temperature.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years’ experience in construction, preferably in the utilities industry
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Must be able to conduct physically strenuous work, work in confined spaces and all types of weather.
  • Be able to work independently, ability to handle problems and make sound decisions.
  • Must be able to lead a crew in a constructive and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge in confined space entry, CIPP Lining, and construction safety
  • Ability to comprehend instruction and perform tasks independent of direct supervision regarding safety procedures, equipment use, maintenance, installation techniques and mobilization of crew to work site.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Flexibility within working hours and days. Must be able to travel regularly.
