Job description

We need an experienced Gaffer to light a corporate video project in Vancouver, BC. This upcoming project is for an established tech client, focusing on demonstrating their new software in a clean, professional, and visually engaging manner. The tone will be modern and informative, with a focus on polished visuals to highlight product features and user experience. Your main responsibility will be executing the lighting plan, working closely with the Cinematographer to achieve the desired look and ensuring efficient power distribution and safety on set. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of corporate aesthetics and efficient lighting practices. While we have a basic lighting package, please detail any specialized gear you can bring or recommend for the budget. Previous experience as a Gaffer on corporate or commercial shoots is preferred, but we're open to passionate individuals ready to step up. Shoot dates are approximate, a 2-day shoot within the first two weeks of October 2026, with an additional half-day prep. Expect 10-hour days. Location will be primarily in a studio space in Vancouver. Compensation is $300-$500 per day, dependent on experience and gear contribution.
