The Salvation Army Canada is seeking a temporary Christmas Support Worker in Markham to assist with donations processing, sorting, and distribution during the holiday season. The role involves pickups, setup, and supporting the kettle campaign as required.

The Christmas Support Worker provides support to the Community and Family Services during the Christmas season on a temporary basis.
Describe the position purpose: provide support during the Christmas season.
This is a temporary position. Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the hours may increase as per operational requirements. Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification. Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs. (11.34 kgs) in a safe manner.
Completed High School or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of prior related experience working in community-based programs would be a definite asset.
Strong skills in all Microsoft Office products and good working knowledge and experience with email and internet-based programs
The target hiring range for this position is $18.50 to $23.13 with a maximum of $27.76. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
