Job summary

Blommer Chocolate Company is seeking a versatile general cleaner for its production environment. You will perform general industrial cleaning in production areas, maintain clean floors, wash walls and equipment, and support product changeovers as needed.

Applicants must be able to stand for long periods, climb stairs, lift over 50 lbs occasionally, and work in a noisy, hot/cold plant. Training in WHMIS and safety gear will be provided; uniform and PPE required on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• General industrial cleaning in production areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Experience with WHMIS or safety training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general industrial cleaning in production areas.
• Operate equipment to maintain clean floors and remove debris.
• Empty trash and other waste containers.
• Wash and dust walls, equipment and ceilings; remove dirt and residues.
• Report defective materials or issues to supervisor.
• Assist production with break relief or product changeovers.
