Children’s Social Worker
Team: Assessment
Location: Halifax
Rate: £34
Details:
The role is for an Experienced Social Worker within the Children’s Assessment Team (CAT), working on duty and assessment. The rate is £34 umbrella.
CAT is responsible for responding to all new cases entering Children’s Social Care. These are allocated to qualified social workers who carry out single assessments, child protection enquiries, pre-birth risk assessments, and cases escalating to care proceedings. All assessments must be completed within prescribed timescales and to a high standard.
We’re specifically looking for someone with experience in Child Protection (CP), Child in Need (CIN), private law, and initiating care proceedings.
The team is structured into four pods, each taking a week of duty on a four-week rota. During duty weeks, social workers are required to be office-based.
