DO YOU HAVE A PASSION TO OVERSEE A FLOURISHING CHILDREN’S MINISTRY?

Calvary Community Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Ministry Director to recruit and equip volunteers, partner with parents, and spearhead community outreach events.

As an alive and growing community in South East Edmonton, we have between 80 and 100 children in our Children’s Ministry programs each Sunday. Children and their families are a signifi cant and foundational part of our ministry. If you have a calling to encourage children to discover and deepen their relationship with Christ, we want to meet you!

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • Leadership & Vision : Big picture thinking … develop and implement a Christ-centered vision to reach children for Christ in alignment with the church’s vision, mission and focus on our small group / micro-church network.
  • Volunteer Development : Recruit, train, and empower a team of volunteers, ensuring they are equipped for ministry through personal meetings, group sessions, and scheduled training.
  • Family Support & Pastoral Care : Provide resources and encouragement to parents through communication and follow-ups with families.
  • Curriculum & Discipleship : Select and oversee biblically sound, age-appropriate curriculum for children’s programs. Train leaders to effectively deliver lessons and mentor children in their faith journey.
  • Special Events & Outreach : Plan and execute family-oriented events, summer camps, and community outreach activities, all with the purpose of sharing Christ.
  • Administration & Budgeting : Oversee the ministry budget, maintain secure records of volunteers and children, and track key milestones like baptisms and dedications.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with the pastoral team in leadership meetings, church services, and staff devotions.

  • Commitment to Jesus Christ : You have a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a dependence on the fi lling and power of the Holy Spirit. Your beliefs align with the Calvary Community Church Statement of Faith.
  • A Heart for Evangelism : You have a passion for sharing the Gospel with children and helping their families grow in their relationship with Christ.
  • Relational Skills : You can build relationships with a variety of personalities and draw them into your vision. You have the ability to diffuse confl ict and pursue unity throughout the church.
  • Experience : Your previous experience in ministry to children and families is an asset, as is theological education or studies in related areas.

Hours : 40 hours per week including most Sunday mornings; to start immediately.
