Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Korean Community Church in Toronto seeks a part-time Children’s Ministry Coordinator to oversee outreach and programs for children aged 0–14, working with the church’s Pastoral Team and volunteers.

This role includes coordinating worship, small groups, and events, recruiting and training volunteers, maintaining records, and promoting safety and compliance. The position is 15 hours per week with evenings/weekends and pro-rated salary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary certificate/college diploma in related field, or 2–3 post-secondary years.
• Bilingual in English and Korean.
• Valid Safe Food Handling Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Ontario Class G Driver’s License; access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership and mentorship to children and families. Lead and model Christ-like attitudes.
• Coordinate and oversee children’s programming, worship, groups, and events.
• Recruit, supervise, orientate, train, and schedule volunteers for children ministries.
• Prepare records, reports, and promotional materials for the children’s programs.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance with OH&S and safeguarding policies.
