A community-focused organization is seeking a Children's Activity Leader for their Out of School Care program in Vancouver. In this role, you will deliver activities that promote child development while supporting a fun and inclusive environment. Applicants need early childhood education certification, experience in childcare, and a passion for children’s learning. The work includes split shifts and can offer around 7 hours on school breaks.

This is child care work in implementing and leading a variety of activities for children participating in a 3-5 group childcare program. An employee of this class is involved in delivering activities which will promote child development and learning. An employee of this class also provides assistance to a superior in planning programs and activities and in carrying out administrative details. Independent judgment is exercised in dealing with routine matters and minor problems.
The Child Activity Leader position reports to the Senior Supervisor.
The work is evaluated by a supervisor through discussion, perusal of activity reports, and observation.
Education and Experience:
This is a Regular Part Time position. Candidates must be able to work split shifts and full-time hours on school closures. The regular shift schedule includes split shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. During summer, school breaks, and professional development days, the position requires working up to 7 hours per day within the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
