Job description

The Calgary Winter Club is Calgary’s premier private family Club, situated in northwest Calgary on the edge of Nose Hill Park. The CWC offers an outstanding employee experience; we are firm believers that everyone should enjoy their work and have a successful work-life balance. We are seeking a Preschool & Childminding Supervisor. This is a full-time position, working Tuesday through Saturday. Our work environment is ideal for an individual who possesses great team energy, is motivated, believes customer service is a way of life, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging, and changing environment.


Wage range: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 salary with some hours eligible for wage top-up.


What you will do:

  1. Assist in daily operations, including staffing and meetings in the Childminding Centre, Licensed Preschool Program, and Preschool Registered Classes.
  2. Cover front-line shortfalls and oversee the Department in the absence of the Manager.
  3. Collaborate with staff regarding activities and direct care to children.
  4. Assist in the planning and implementation of the one-year strategic and tactical plans/goals.
  5. Support, communicate, and reassure parents with a high level of quality care.
  6. Maintain an organized environment that is calm, creative, and fun for children.
  7. Ensure service standards are maintained as outlined.
  8. As a Club service ambassador, provide information and service to our members and guests.
  9. Maintain billing files, budgets, statistics, and payroll records.
  10. Identify and purchase departmental equipment, supplies, and toys.

What you will need:

  1. Sensitive, mature, and able to relate well to both children and adults.
  2. Ability to provide leadership and stability of services with an approachable and engaging attitude.
  3. Early Childhood Education Level 2 is required; Level 3 is an asset.
  4. Experience in a Childminding/Childcare environment.
  5. Experience leading a preschool classroom and preschool-aged programs.
  6. Experience as a supervisor that includes leading and supporting a team.
  7. Current First Aid Certificate and Infant/Child C.P.R.
