About You / What We Are Looking For
We are currently looking for nurturing, calm and caring individuals to provide childminding services for our residents attending programing and activities at our Recreation Centres! In this role, you will be responsible for provide a safe, fun and engaging environment for babies and children aged 0-5 years. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate activities using a variety of mediums such as games, books and toys, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the area, and communicating effectively with parents about their child’s experience. Providing comfort, bottle feeding and assisting with diaper and washroom needs will be expected.
Shifts will primarily be scheduled between Tuesday and Thursday evenings at City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC).
Minimum Qualifications
We accept first aid certifications issued by the following training providers:
At the time of application you will be required to upload and submit a copy of your valid and up to date First Aid and CPR certification as a Supporting Document. If you are in the process of obtaining your certification, it must be submitted before your hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of early Childhood education (ECE) and/or babysitting coursework would be considered an asset.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has an hourly rate starting at $24.15, plus 12% in-lieu. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.
