About Us

Located in Delta, our daycare is a nurturing, play-based early childhood education center committed to supporting children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our newly developed facility offers a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that reflects the natural beauty of our community. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Director to lead our team and guide the growth of our center.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Administration
  2. Provide day-to-day operational leadership for all programs (Infant / Toddler, 3-5 years, Out of School Care if applicable)
  3. Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate early childhood educators and support staff
  4. Manage enrollment processes, waitlists, and family communication
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports as required by licensing and organizational policies

Compliance & Licensing

  1. Ensure full compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR)
  2. Liaise with Fraser Health Licensing Officers and ensure all inspections, documentation, and safety procedures are up to date
  3. Maintain staff certifications (e.g., ECE, First Aid, CRCs) and oversee ongoing professional development

Program Development

  1. Oversee implementation of a play-based, inclusive curriculum that meets the BC Early Learning Framework
  2. Work collaboratively with educators to ensure child-centered, developmentally appropriate programming
  3. Monitor classroom environments and support continuous improvement initiatives

Parent & Community Engagement

  1. Build strong, respectful relationships with families and serve as the primary contact for parent communication and conflict resolution
  2. Represent the center at community events and collaborate with local organizations and schools

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate required;
  • ECE with Special Needs and Infant / Toddler License is required;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an ECE setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role;
  • Strong knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and ELCC frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in written and verbal English; second language is an asset
  • Clear Criminal Record Check, current First Aid / CPR certification, and immunization records
  • Experience with administrative tools (e.g., HiMama, ProCare, Microsoft Office)
