Job summary

YWCA Regina Inc. is hiring an After School Educator Team Member to support the Centre for Play and Development. The role is 15 hours per week, 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday when school is in session, for a term from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

• Demonstrated respect for children and families of diverse backgrounds
• Skill in problem-solving, managing multiple demands, and responding to incidents

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Criminal record check dated within three months of offer date
• CPR/ First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Job description

Hours of Work: 15hours weekly - 3pm - 6pm - Monday to Friday when school is in session

Length of Employment: Term (September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027)

Under the general supervision of the Child Care Director and the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, the After School Educator Team Members are responsible for maintaining and developing the children's program with their group of children in the Centre for Play and Development Childcare Centers. Team Members must adhere to all the policies and regulations as set out in the Parent Handbook, Policy Manual and Child Care Staff Manual.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Grade 12 Certificate
2. Ability to effectively care for children of various ages

5. Effective oral and written communication skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Criminal record check, dated within three months of offer date
8. CPR/ First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
