  6. Assist with activities of daily living and medication administration.
  7. Apply an excellent understanding of behaviour management principles and strategies, including mental health needs.
  8. Record daily activities and personal health information (PHI) of the children we support on our case management database.
  9. Work with the children to ensure their home is clean and well maintained at all times, including daily food preparation and light housekeeping duties.

You will have

  1. Grade 12 education.
  2. Child and Youth Care Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in community social services working with youth experiencing significant mental health, substance use, and/or concurrent disorder challenges in a multidisciplinary health care setting.
  4. Experience in Trauma-Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Recovery-Oriented Care.
  5. Current Emergency First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certificates.
  6. Experience with Prader Willi or high-risk and challenging behaviour.
  7. Strong crisis management skills and comfort in providing personal care.
  8. Previous behaviour management training or courses.
  9. Effective communication skills (verbal & written) with team members, professionals, families, and community members.
  10. Non-verbal communication skills.
  11. Restricted Class 5 driver’s license.
  12. Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
  13. Criminal record clearance for children and vulnerable adults.
