Job description

About Us

At BeWell Health Centres we’re reimagining how care is delivered in Ontario - comprehensive, committed, and connected.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. Our interdisciplinary team includes psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists working collaboratively to provide evidence-informed, deeply human care.

Here, you’ll find the resources and support to do your best work -and the freedom to shape your clinical practice in a way that feels authentic to you.

We’re growing - thoughtfully - and looking for clinicians who bring expertise, curiosity, and genuine care to their work.

Who you are and What you'll do

Join our team as a Child Psychologist! In this role, you’ll support children and adolescents by providing developmentally appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based therapy in a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll partner closely with parents and caregivers, conduct intakes, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress through clear, timely documentation. Collaboration with schools, pediatric providers, and other professionals may be part of your work, along with referrals when needed. You’ll manage your own caseload while maintaining strong ethical and professional standards, and you may also offer consultation, parent guidance, or specialized services based on your training and interests.

This role can be based out of any of our offices: Mississauga, Hamilton, downtown Toronto.

As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll have the chance to:

  • Conduct in-depth psychoeducational assessments and treatment, tailoring interventions to each individual's needs.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Child and Adult Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, and Psychometrists for comprehensive client care.

  • Stay at the forefront of psychology, utilizing progressive methodologies to enhance assessment and treatment efficacy.

What you bring
  • M.A., Ph.D., or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology

  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Psychologists (CPO)

  • Declared competency in the areas of Clinical Psychology (Child and Adolescents) with no restrictions on license to practice

  • Declared competence in Assessment/Evaluation/Intervention

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical interviewing, diagnosis and formulation, consultation; knowledge of typical and atypical lifespan development; experience with a broad range of psychometric tools and principles; and statistical knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience working with children, and experience participating on an interdisciplinary team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills

  • Proficiency in technology is essential, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems and Microsoft 365 applications

  • A stable high-speed internet connection, a private home office, and the ability to conduct tele-therapy sessions are mandatory if working remotely

  • The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening

  • A strong understanding of occupational stress injuries is an asset

Why BeWell?
  • You’re a practitioner in a solo virtual practice, craving the camaraderie and networking opportunities with fellow clinicians.

  • Working in a public institution has you feeling overworked and underpaid; but you like the stability of a full-time role, base salary, and benefits.

  • You enjoy having the option to offer virtual appointments but would love to go into the office space sometimes as well.

  • The instability associated with splits in private practice isn’t your cup of tea, and you seek a more secure professional setting.

  • Your passion for working with clients is matched by a desire to explore leadership opportunities, including supervision.

  • You want an entrepreneurial role and yearn for autonomy, but you aren’t interested in starting your own practice.

  • You are content in your current role, but you’re open to a conversation about the potential offerings and possibilities BeWell could bring to your professional journey

Compensation
  • BeWell Health Centres offer a range of competitive compensation options consistent with your level of credentialing.

  • We also offer a generous vacation and benefits plan for salaried employees along with flexible working hours and a hybrid of virtual/in-person.

  • This role can be structured either as a fee-split model OR as a salaried employment role.

  • Total compensation for the role will range from 110k to 150k annually, consisting of a base salary supplemented by variable compensation based on caseload and performance metrics.
