Job summary

Liu's Family in British Columbia is seeking a dedicated live-in caregiver to help care for young children at the family home. English proficiency and a caring, responsible approach are essential.

Responsibilities include feeding, bathing, dressing, play, light housekeeping, and safe transport as needed. Room and board are provided, and on-site work is required. A background check and credentials such as IELTS and First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education includes trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• IELTS proficiency and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Experience as an asset for childcare is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Change diapers
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
