Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time

Wage: $19 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location of Work: Coquitlam, BC

Job Requirements:

1. High School certificate;
2. 1 to less than 7 months experience is preferred;
3. Demonstrate ability to perform the work;
4. Mature, reliable, caring, and flexible (be able to work on weekends);
5. Ability to communicate in English;

Job Duties:

1. Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence;
2. Bathe, dress, and feed the child;
3. Plan, prepare, and serve meals for child;
4. May perform other light housekeeping duties;
5. Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer;
6. Arranging playdates and outings;
7. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home;
8. Instruct child in personal hygiene;
9. Tend to the emotional well-being of the child and support their social development;
10. Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents;
11. Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings;
12. Take child to and from appointments;
13. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child;
14. Administering medicine with parent’s consent, if necessary.
