Job summary

YMCA of Southwestern Ontario is seeking a part-time Child Care Custodian to clean and maintain the London facility at 109 Belmont Dr. The role supports a safe, welcoming environment for children, staff and members.

Evening shifts from 6:00pm to 10:00pm totaling 20 hours per week. Candidates should have commercial cleaning experience, WHMIS training, and a clean criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning environment.
• WHMIS trained (can be provided if not in place).
• Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Must be 18 years old.
• COVID-19 vaccination is a stated requirement by YMCA (policy noted).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility (classrooms, kitchen, staff room, office, hallways, bathrooms).
• Regular removal of garbage and recycling.
• Act as a YMCA ambassador and demonstrate core values in daily work.
• Ensure centre is locked and alarm activated upon leaving.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in commercial cleaning environment.
• WHMIS trained (can be provided if not in place).
• Experience with the safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Clean criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Must be 18 years old
• It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground. This requirement has been suspended effective June 30, 2022. It may be reinstated in future should the state of public health in our communities require it.
• $17.60 per hour

Schedule:
