Closer To Home Community Services Society in Calgary, AB, Canada is seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Worker to join a community group home. This permanent full‑time role supports children and youth using the Teaching Family Model, guiding daily routines and ensuring safety.

You will collaborate with a professionals team to foster development, manage crises, assist with school tasks, and promote belonging across family and community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day to day activities and routines, visits and appointments
• Implementing skill development strategies, managing crises and assisting with school difficulties
• Focusing on interconnectedness, including family kinship, academics, recreation and community inclusion
• Supporting children and youth with strategies to enhance their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well‑being, and to increase their sense of belonging
• Completing day to day household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and other duties as required
• Transporting youth to and from school, appointments or visits
• Manage crises and dysregulation
• Document critical incident reports
• Attend regular meetings
• Medication Management
• Completing day to day household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and other duties as required
• This position may involve travel to various locations across Calgary and Airdrie, as assigned
• Adhere to workplace protocols regarding animals in group homes, including reporting any allergy risks or
