What Youll Do :

  • Offer age-appropriate learning to build developmental skills.
  • Guide behavior management and coping strategies.
  • De-escalate crisis situations with effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with family care teams and community professionals.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
  • Maintain a safe clean and supportive home environment.
  • Keep accurate documentation and reports.
  • Participating in child-centered recreation and play.

  • The following training is required and provided to the successful candidate free of charge. Existing certification is an asset : First Aid Mandt SafeTALK Safe Food Handling Medication Management Privacy and Information Sharing Anti-Bullying and Harassment.
  • Physical requirements of the job include supporting individuals with recreational activities and household duties including hiking biking yard work snow removal general cleaning duties etc.

    HOURS of WORK : 16 hours per week

    SCHEDULE : Sat-Sun 7 : 30 AM-3 : 30 PM

    REPORTS TO : 611 Program Coordinator

    COMPENSATION : $27.54 - $31.61 (Grid 11 as per collective agreement)
