Working in partnership with Children’s Services and Collaborative Service Delivery agencies, PCC staff provide a safe, stable home environment while building positive, lasting connections with youth. What You’ll Do

  • Provide 24/7 support in a residential setting, including evenings, weekends, and overnights on a rotating schedule.
  • Model and teach life skills: self-care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household responsibilities.
  • Apply trauma-informed and harm reduction approaches in daily interactions.
  • Use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when needed.
  • Support youth with specialized needs, including those with FASD diagnoses.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow organizational protocols.

What You Bring

  • Education: Diploma/Degree in Child & Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Community Support, or a related Human Services field.
  • New graduates from a Child & Youth Care program are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working with high-risk youth in supportive care is preferred; equivalent education/experience will be considered.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, current registration & insurance.
  • Current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check & Intervention Record Check.
  • First Aid, Trauma-Informed Care, and Crisis Intervention/De-escalation training (preferred).
  • Physical and mental resilience to work in high-demand, emotionally complex situations.

Why Join Maple Tree?

  • Be part of a committed team making a lasting difference in the lives of youth.
