Strathcona Resources Ltd. seeks a Chief Power Engineer for the Lloydminster Thermal Division, based between Macklin and Kerrobert, Saskatchewan.
You will lead the safe, reliable operation of a multi‑component thermal facility and mentor shift engineers and operators while ensuring TSASK compliance. The role requires a Second Class Power Engineering certificate, 7+ years of SAGD/thermal experience, and strong knowledge of steam generation, water treatment, and process systems.

We are actively seeking a Chief Power Engineer to join our team within the Lloydminster Thermal Division. Reporting to the Sr. Foreman Operations, the Chief Power Engineer will be responsible for managing and providing operational and strategic leadership for our Thermal Facility. They will oversee and coordinate operational activities to ensure specific tasks are performed correctly, and in accordance with company policy and safety standards. The Chief Power Engineer will be accountable for ensuring that the plant is operating in compliance with TSASK requirements as a Second Class rated power generating facility and will provide daily leadership and mentorship towards operational and safety excellence.
The facility is located between Macklin and Kerrobert Saskatchewan. The facility consists of 4 OTSG's, water treatment package, multiple heat exchange equipment, emulsion treatment facility, source water wells, SAGD wells and 10 shift operators. This position is unique where it will oversee all components of the facility.
Position based in a plant setting.
Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the area within 100km.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract required.
