A leading technology and AI consulting firm is seeking a Chief Operating Officer – Technology to steer their tech direction. The role involves defining strategic goals, managing vendor relations, and overseeing software development and cybersecurity initiatives, with the aim to drive innovation and growth.

The Chief Operating Officer – Technology will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and vision for the technological direction of the company. This position requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, market trends in AI, and business strategies to drive growth and maintain competitiveness in the industry.
1. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities will be but not limited to:
· Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships with vendors or other businesses that can showcase the company's technological capabilities and offerings.
· Identify and articulate the company's mission and strategic objectives.
· Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
· Provide strategic direction and guidance including software development, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
· Work closely with senior management to ensure that operational strategies and initiatives are closely aligned with the overall business objectives.
· Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential value to the business and facilitating their adoption where appropriate.
· Empower and mentor employees to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the company.
· Develop and manage the budget, allocating resources effectively to support key initiatives and projects while minimizing unnecessary expenses.
· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing data privacy, security, and other aspects of operations.
· Define the roles and responsibilities of the team; ensure that the organization functions and production functions are smooth including the human resources, finance, accounting, sale and marketing.
· Oversee regular audits and assessments of systems, operational processes, and compliance procedures to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
· Implement and maintain robust risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks that may impact the business.
· Coordinate staffing resources, including hiring, training, and allocating personnel to meet operational needs.
2. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
· Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline
· More than 5 years of experience in senior management role
· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
· In-depth knowledge of technology trends and best practices, with hands-on experience in technology strategy development and implementation.
· Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Command in Python, SQL, C/C++, MATLAB, and Visual Basic.
· Experience working with PyCharm, Spyder, VSCode, SQL Server Management Studio
· Excellent command on English language, reading, writing, and speaking.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
· Able to build rapport, excellent time and project management skills
· Ability to work in multicultural work environment
