Job title: Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading operational performance across Siksika Group's diverse portfolio of companies. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will translate strategic vision into operational execution while ensuring each business operates efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with the organization's long-term objectives.
This role requires a collaborative and commercially minded executive with strong operational leadership experience, a solid understanding of governance and legal frameworks, and the ability to build alignment across multiple business units. The COO will serve as a trustedlegal counsel and strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing sound judgment and guidance on operational, legal, governance, risk, and business matters. The successful candidate will leverage their legal knowledge and experience to identify and mitigate risk, navigate complex agreements and regulatory requirements, strengthen governance practices, and support informed executive decision-making.
The successful candidate will foster operational excellence while balancing commercial priorities with Indigenous values, community objectives, and long-term organizational interests. They will bring the credibility and judgment required to operate across a complex portfolio, build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the organization is positioned for sustainable growth and continued success.
