We’re expanding rapidly in North America, Australia, and globally—and we’re looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help lead us through this next stage of growth.

The Opportunity

As Bureau’s COO, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for scaling our operational infrastructure to meet the demands of rapid growth across Canada, the US, Europe, Australia, and new territories. You will oversee logistics, installations, supply chain, and product cost engineering while building scalable systems that balance efficiency with customer experience. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role suited to someone with deep operational experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to design and execute complex global supply chain and logistics strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee and continuously improve global operations, including supply chain, logistics, installation networks, and warehousing.
    • Build scalable systems that ensure quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness across all regions.
  • Product & Supply Chain Operations
    • Implement systems to streamline fulfillment and modular product delivery.
    • Drive cost engineering and continuous improvement while maintaining world-class quality.
    • Support product launches with operational strategies, training, and rollout systems.
  • People, Performance & Culture
    • Build a culture of problem-solving and accountability within the operations team.
    • Establish dashboards, reporting systems, and clear KPIs to ensure operational excellence.
    • Invest in training and education for internal teams and external partners to deliver consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Innovation & Future Readiness
    • Explore and operationalize new manufacturing hubs to reduce risk and cost.
    • Design systems that support Bureau’s long-term vision for elastic, adaptable workspace solutions.
    • Support new business models and ensure operational readiness for growth.
    • Lead the adoption of automation, technology, and scalable systems to fuel efficiency and innovation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of senior operations leadership experience, ideally within furniture, manufacturing, logistics, or a related high-growth industry.
  • Proven track record of building scalable supply chains and logistics networks across multiple regions.
  • Experience negotiating global vendor, shipping, and warehousing agreements.
  • Demonstrable experience building relationships with and managing manufacturing suppliers.
  • Strong background in cost engineering, SKU management, and product fulfillment.
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and scale operational models (e.g., leasing, recycling/refurbishment).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Skilled at building high-performance teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Why Join Bureau?
  • Be part of a mission-driven team reshaping the future of workspace design.
  • Lead a critical function in a fast-growing, global company.
  • Collaborate with creative, entrepreneurial colleagues across North America, Europe, Australia, and beyond.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, growth opportunities, and a chance to make a measurable impact.
Compensation

This role offers a salary range of $150,000 – $250,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and performance-based incentives.
