Leading fertility clinic dedicated to providing cutting-edge reproductive healthcare with a patient-centered approach is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational efficiencies, implement scalable systems, and drive continuous process improvements to enhance patient experiences and business performance.

Job Summary

The COO will oversee daily operations, optimize clinical and administrative workflows, and ensure seamless coordination between departments. This role requires a leader with deep fertility clinic or healthcare experience, a track record in system implementation, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute operational strategies to improve efficiency, patient experience, and profitability.
  • Oversee clinical and administrative teams, ensuring seamless communication and workflow integration.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with the Medical Director and CFO to align operational goals with the clinic’s strategic vision.

System Implementation & Process Improvement

  • Lead the re-implementation of electronic medical records systems (e-IVF), practice management software, and other operational technologies.
  • Identify and drive process optimization initiatives, including patient scheduling, billing, and payment collections.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.
  • Introduce automation and digital transformation strategies to enhance operational efficiencies.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Collaborate with the CFO to optimize cost control, revenue management, and budgeting.
  • Evaluate clinic expansion opportunities, partnerships, and service line growth strategies.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Leadership & Culture Development

  • Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • Mentor and develop leadership within the organization, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead change management initiatives and ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record as a COO, Director of Operations, or similar leadership role in a fertility clinic, healthcare, or medical practice.
  • Strong experience in system implementation and process improvement methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of reproductive medicine, IVF, and fertility clinic operations is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in the Canadian healthcare compliance and accreditation standards.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L analysis, budgeting, and operational cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
