CSL is hiring experienced Chief Mates for immediate positions.

We are currently seeking motivated Chief Mates for our domestic fleet of bulkers and self-unloaders, including seven state-of-the-art Trillium Class ships. Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure all vessel activities under the responsibility of the First Officer (Chief Officer/First Mate) comply with Safety Management System policies and procedures.

Manage areas including navigation, cargo, hull, and equipment in accordance with Transport Canada Regulations, codes of practice, and applicable standards, defining CSL’s expectations for the Chief Officer role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Chief Officer Near Coastal competency issued by Transport Canada
• GLPA Pilotage Certificate
• Experience as a Chief Mate
