Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) & Partner, Healthcare Consulting, Equity-only Initially, Ideal for Experienced Leader

Closer Work is a purpose-driven Management Consulting and Business Services start-up specializing in Healthcare. We're looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Partner to lead the Marketing function of our Group. This is a unique opportunity to join a company offering both a strong social mission and a generous Equity Scheme that could enable you to achieve financial security within a few years. You'll be working with a small, dedicated team and have the chance to make a real impact on the lives of healthcare organizations, their staff, and the patients they serve.

The role can be performed, fully remotely from anywhere in Canada. For thefirst 2 to 6 months, you’ll get Equity compensation (Company Shares) instead of full Salary.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The main purpose of your role would be to improve the lives of Healthcare Organisations, Healthcare Professionals and Patients, whilst achieving our financial targets.

MAIN MISSION:

The main of your role will be to help improve our understanding of the needs of our clients, staff and patients, and to help us get the message out there about how we can help them fulfil these needs.

Operationally, your main mission would be to design and implement the marketing strategy for your group, starting with our first two small business units. Our group will start small, with approximately 5 to 10 people at the group level and 2 individuals at the business unit level (1 for each business unit). This small structure will allow us to establish a strong foundation for our group in an agile manner, prior to our scale-up.

Key priorities during this phase include:

  • Devise, Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy
  • Drive lead generation and customer acquisition through digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Development and Optimization of our websites
  • Content Marketing
  • Implement and monitor key metrics (website traffic, conversion rates)
  • Manage a lean marketing budget
  • Build and Lead the Marketing Team

THE TEAM

As a start-up, you will initially work with a small, tight-knit team, including:

  • The Founder and Advisors: Providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Closer Work Americas Management Team: Collaborating closely with the Group CEO, Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
  • Local Lead Partners: You will be working closely with our local Lead Partners, as they are in daily contact with clients and candidates. They would be your first point to get insights from.
  • In the future, your role will expand to include working in an integrated manner with teams delivering complementary services such as finance, marketing, mediation, and more, delivering integrated solutions to our clients and candidates.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years professional experience in Marketing.
  • Willing to start the role in a small structure (early stage start-up), and carry out hands-on work.
  • The role is remote, so you could be based anywhere in Canada.
