Job summary

United Way Centraide Canada (UWCC) seeks a Director, Information Technology in Ottawa to lead strategy, operations, cybersecurity, data management, and cloud infrastructure in a federated nonprofit setting. The role reports to the Vice President, Finance, and directs a small technical team to advance technology capabilities while ensuring reliability and security of core systems.

The position requires a University degree in a related field and at least 8 years of progressive IT experience, with

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of progressive information technology experience, including leadership for enterprise systems and infrastructure.
Experience guiding technology strategy, risk management, and digital transformation in a not-for-profit context is an asset.
Strong knowledge of cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and data management to support governance and operations.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic technology leadership aligned with UWCC priorities and growth.
Oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, data management, and cloud infrastructure.
Direct development of enterprise applications and IT governance incl. AI governance.
Manage vendors, service providers, and partner relationships to maximize value.
Lead and develop the IT team and support stakeholder needs across the federation.
