Bethesda is seeking an experienced Chief Human Resources Officer to join our executive leadership team and help shape a workplace culture rooted in compassion, inclusion and Christian values. Founded in 1971 Bethesda is a CARF-accredited organization that supports around 350 people with diverse abilities across British Columbia.
With a team of 454 staff and a $31.6M annual budget, we offer a wide range of person-centered services; including residential, community inclusion, family support and summer camps throughout the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. Our services are made possible through funding from CLBC, MCFD, BC Housing, Fraser Health, and generous private donors. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will offer thoughtful and strategic leadership to Bethesda’s human resources department, guiding policies, employee relations and organizational compliance with care and clarity. Based at our provincial office in Abbotsford, this role focuses on both strategic direction and administrative oversight, empowering the HR department and leadership teams to nurture a workplace culture that reflects Bethesda’s mission of inclusion, compassion and belonging.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chief Human Resources Officer is a key leadership position central to shaping Bethesda’s people practices, workplace culture, and organizational health. Working closely with the CEO and executive team, the CHRO provides strategic leadership to Bethesda’s HR department while guiding and supporting managers across multiple service areas who carry out HR responsibilities locally.
