Innisfil is an award-winning small urban municipality that is among the fastest-growing in Canada. Strategically located next to several major urban centres, Innisfil’s central location combines big city access with small-town feel, high quality of life and a strong local workforce. Innisfil is at a unique inflection point in its history, and this position offers the opportunity to guide and influence the sustainable growth of this community and organization for years to come. Innisfil provides an exceptional lifestyle, combining the relaxed lifestyle of a waterfront community on Lake Simcoe, with a growing suite of urban amenities. Just minutes from desk to dock, Innisfil has something for everyone.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and a key member of Innisfil’s Steering Group, as Chief Financial Officer & Director of Corporate Services you provide oversight across a diverse portfolio of services including finance, information technology, legal & clerks services, customer service, and enterprise strategy & business planning. You will lead a talented team of approximately 50 individuals as you deliver high quality services and programs that address the changing needs of both internal clients and the community in line with the Town’s Strategic Plan pillars of ‘grow, sustain, connect and serve’.

As an ideal candidate, you are a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who has demonstrated an ability to provide excellent people, strategic and financial leadership across a diverse portfolio. You are an outstanding communicator with a track record of creating effective relationships based on trust across an array of internal and external clients and partners. Highly regarded for your integrity, political acuity and authenticity, the Town will benefit from your proven experience leading an executive management portfolio while working effectively with elected officials, various levels of government and public agencies. You are highly regarded for your leadership skill and track record of success in ensuring consistent delivery of services and key priorities. Your analytical skills, critical thinking and bias to action underscore your ability to set well thought out objectives, balance priorities, and develop standards and strategies that achieve measurable results. An empowering and inclusive leader with a reputation for inspiring and mentoring strong and cohesive teams, people appreciate you for your collaboration, open mindedness, and high standards of excellence.

To be considered, you have extensive executive management experience in finance and across diverse portfolios, with demonstrable knowledge in business optimization, risk management and financial stewardship, ideally in a complex public sector environment. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset but not a prerequisite.
